History

SLOVDEKRA s.r.o. is the company for technical inspections, emission checks and vehicle tests. It is the result of the transformation process of the previous Institute for Road System and Traffic, Bratislava from which was detached the basic network of seven technical inspection centres (TIC) on the territory of the whole Slovak Republic and this one was the subject of privatization. In SLOVDEKRA are working all employees - technicians - that have been conducting technical inspections and vehicle tests in the previous public organization gradually since 1975.
SLOVDEKRA s.r.o. obtained the authorization from Ministry of Transport SR to carry out the above mentioned activities and had provided necessary tasks for the regular operation of the system technical inspections in the whole network TIC in the Slovak Republic untill November, 30th 2005.

Since 1998 is has been an expert´s organization for the road traffic.

At present the company is leader at technical and emission inspections of vehicles and since 2006 it has fulfiled the function of Authorized Technical Service for Verification of Vehicles.

The greatest partner of SLOVDEKRA is german expert´s and testing organization for road vehicles DEKRA with its  56 % participation of investment.
